FREDERICO GOUVEIA, Executive Producer / Assistant Conductor

Frederico Gouveia is an orchestra administrator and producer. He has served as Manager of the NY-based Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, founded by conductor Alondra de la Parra, producing, marketing and overseeing over 20 orchestral concerts and tours with renowned presenters such as IMG Artists, the Latin Grammy’s and other partnering organizations. Productions have taken place in such venues as New York City’s Lincoln Center (Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall), Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center, The White House, Meyerson Center (Dallas, TX), George Brown Center (Houston, TX), Lincoln Theater (Napa, CA) Palacio de Bellas Artes, Sala Nezahualcoyotl  (Mexico City), as well as coordination of two international tours in 2007 and 2008. 

Prior to this, Frederico served as Marketing and Development Director of the South Florida-based Ars Flores Orchestra, in charge of concerts at venues such as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Gusman Hall (downtown Miami) University of Miami’s Gusman Hall, Miniaci Performing Arts Center (NSU) and others. He has also worked in the Marketing and Development Department of the Orquestra de Sao Paulo (OSESP) in 2003, Latin America's largest orchestral institution.

Frederico is also a conductor, having begun his studies in high school and later with Vincent LaSelva at the Juilliard School and Kenneth Kiesler, at the Conductors Retreat at Medomak. He has participated in master workshops such as the 2nd Latin American Conducting master class led by Kurt Masur in 2003. His most recent performance was with The New Amsterdam Orchestra in New York, leading works by Villa-Lobos, Vaughan Williams, Grieg and Barber, in August of 2009.

Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Frederico is a passionate advocate of classical music and music education, working with organizations such as the Brazilian Classical Series for the support and expansion of youth orchestra programs modeled after the renowned Venezuelan "Sistema".
